Native Restaurant & Lounge is proud to announce its opening, providing the residents of San Luis Obispo County with the opportunity have a lounge dining and drinking experience in San Luis Obispo.

Operating partner Sean Faries called on the design skills of Studio 2 g, Lost Coast Construction, and The Hive to create a comfortable, modern and sophisticated space. “We wanted to create an environment that would play on peoples senses and engage the way people interact with food and cocktails”, says Faries. They accomplished that goal by featuring using intelligent lighting systems, a large water feature, and attractive lounge style seating.

Native Restaurant & Lounge seeks to fill a dining and entertainment void for those who have experienced it in cities such as San Diego, San Francisco, and Las Vegas. Faries asserts, “I wanted to create a restaurant that would push the envelope on the way people eat and drink”..

Phillip Esposito, Service Manager, is excited about the knowledgeable staff that he has meticulously chosen to create a guest-focused service culture. “We must deliver an exceptional experience that is worthy and ever respectful of the customer’s time. The occasion we deliver needs to be tailored for each guest’s specific needs, and that takes uniquely talented servers that understand how to read those needs”, says Esposito.

Upon entering the lounge, guests are enveloped by the sophisticated, yet lively atmosphere. The large glass water feature flows endlessly from the ceiling and acts as buffer between the front doors and the main bar area. There are four distinct lounge areas to choose from each with a different presence. The low tables reflect a soft glow of candlelight. Couches, banquets and ottomans provides a eating experience perfect for any size group, from a table of two to a party of twenty. A private dining room in the Blue Lounge with white leather couches, ottomans and a huge plasma tv is the most popular of the areas with a more private intimate party feel.

Executive Chef, Charles Aghajanian and Sous Chef, Shannon Hennings use premium, authentic ingredients to create unique Modern worldly dishes with a lounge style flair. The Armenian Touch with Baba Ghanoush, Tatziki, Marinated Feta, and grilled Pita is one of Aghajanian signature dishes. The Crispy Duck empanadas with duck confit, queso fresco, and jicama carrot radish slaw, are delicious, unique and fun. The full lounge menu is served from 5 pm to 11 pm followed by a late night menu served till 1am.

Rounding out the experience is an impressive dessert menu you wont see anywhere else including an Ice Cream Cone tasting, Chefs Cheese sampling, Spiced Ricotta Dumplings and many more.
